Event staff volunteers: Radical Joy - Anansi at 5

Be part of the team behind our fifth-birthday celebration.

On Sunday 25 October 2026, we're celebrating five years of Anansi Theatre Company with Radical Joy, a free day-long festival of new work in Derby. A day like this is made possible by the people who help it run, and we'd love you to be one of them. We're looking for a friendly team of volunteers to help us welcome audiences, support our artists, and make the day feel warm, smooth and joyful for everyone who walks through the door.

How you could help

Front of house: welcoming audiences, checking people in and helping them find their way around
Audience support: answering questions, sharing programmes and making people feel at home
Artist and backstage support: helping our artists and creative team through the day
Set up and pack down: helping the space look its best before doors, and reset afterwards
General support: being a friendly, flexible pair of hands wherever the day needs you

You don't need any experience, just enthusiasm and a warm welcome. We'll brief you on everything before the day.
